Ed Morse Auto Group Acquires Chevrolet Dealership in Savanna, Illinois

Delray Beach, FL- May 10, 2023 — The Ed Morse Auto Group just held its 29th Ed Morse MDA Golf Classic and raised a record amount of over $436K for the Muscular Dystrophy Association. That brings the amount raised from this tournament in its 29-year history to over $3.9 million.

• This year’s record amount raised ($436,912) exceeded the previous record of $424,356 in 2022.
• In total, this tournament has raised $3,957,351 for the MDA in its 29 years.
• The tournament took sixteen years to raise the first $1 million. It took a total of twenty-three years to get over the $2 million mark. Now this tournament has raised over $1.8 million in the past six years.
• This year’s tournament was held on two stunning courses at PGA National.

Ed Morse Auto Group Donates a Brand-New Toyota Highlander to a Gold Star Family at the Gasparilla Bowl Game in Tampa Bay

Delray Beach, FL- January 6, 2023—Not only was Ed Morse Auto Group the official automotive partner of the Gasparilla Bowl game played in Tampa Bay, but they surprised the crowd with a new car giveaway to a local Gold Star family.

Cheryl and Steve Sitton were recognized on the field to honor the service of their son Matthew Sitton, but they didn’t know that they would be awarded a brand new red 2023 Toyota Highlander. The $46K four-door Highland was donated by Ed Morse Delray Toyota.

“We were absolutely shocked to be presented a new car from Teddy Morse and his team. It was incredibly overwhelming and such a heartwarming gesture. This generosity demonstrates that Teddy Morse cares about military families that have suffered heartbreak. My family is truly touched with their dedication to honor Matthew’s incredible service to our country,” said Cheryl Sitton.

Matthew Sitton was an Army Staff Sargent for the 82nd Airborne Division who served three tours and six years in Afghanistan. He was killed in action by an IED on August 2nd, 2012. Just months earlier, Matthew had written his local congressman about the unnecessary dangers that their leaders were putting his division in. It wasn’t until Matthew’s death that General Raymond Odierno and the Army started making key leadership changes.

“Too often we use the term hero, when it really isn’t deserving. Matthew Sitton is a true hero and true patriot. Not only did he serve his country with honor, but always put his platoon first. Ed Morse Auto Group Donates a Brand-New RAM 1500 Truck to a Purple Heart Recipient at the Armed Forces Bowl Game

Delray Beach, FL- January 5, 2023—Not only was Freedom by Ed Morse the official automotive partner of the Lockheed Martin Armed Forces Bowl played in December, but they surprised the crowd at halftime with a new car giveaway to a Purple Heart Recipient. Teddy Morse, Chairman and CEO of Ed Morse Auto Group, teamed up with Santa Claus to randomly pick a name out of a hat of almost 100 Purple Heart Recipients.

The lucky winner was Gil Brown of Northlake, Texas. He was handed the keys to a 2022 RAM 1500 Rebel truck in hydro blue. The MSRP price for this vehicle is $65,905.

“I couldn’t believe they called out my name and was in total shock. It was like winning the lottery and certainly didn’t expect this. I look forward to selling my old truck, getting rid of the monthly payments and knowing that this truck will likely be my last,” said Gil Brown. “I am so appreciative of Teddy Morse and his Freedom dealership team for their unwavering support for veterans.”

Gil Brown earned the Purple Heart when he was wounded on January 9th, 1969 in Vietnam. Brown was an infantryman serving in the Ninth Infantry Division in the Mekong Delta. During a night operation in the Plain of Reeds on the Cambodian border, Brown’s patrol air cushion vehicle hit a mine and was decimated. Brown would spend six weeks in the hospital and would rejoin his unit. Brown has given back by serving as a mentor for the Veterans Treatment Court Program in Denton County.

Ed Morse Auto Group Acquires Destination Daytona

The Ed Morse Auto Group announced today it has acquired Destination Daytona, the iconic entertainment complex. The acquisition includes Daytona Harley-Davidson, the Clarion Inn Ormond Beach, Saints & Sinners Pub, the 35,000 square-foot Rock N'Roll event pavilion, plus it will become the proprietor for the numerous on-site tenants. Ed Morse Auto Group purchased the complex from the Rossmeyer family, and will soon begin selling LiveWire, the electric American motorcycle brand. Destination Daytona is located at 1635 North US Highway 1 in Ormond Beach, Florida.

Destination Daytona is a 100 plus acre entertainment and retail complex that was built around Daytona Harley-Davidson's 109,000 square-foot and two-story showroom. Considered a bucket-list experience for bikers, Destination Daytona is also home to three other restaurants, a condominium, motorcycle museum and numerous popular retail tenants.

In addition, the purchase will include the Main Street retail store located at 510 Main St. Bridge in Daytona that will be called Teddy Morse's Daytona Harley-Davidson Main St.

Delray Beach, FL- September 6, 2022 — The Ed Morse Auto Group announced today it has acquired Cowboy Harley-Davidson’s three locations in Texas, including the Harley-Davidson retail store located at River Walk in San Antonio. Cowboy Harley-Davidson’s locations include Austin, Beaumont, and San Antonio. Ed Morse Auto Group purchased the motorcycle dealerships from Cowboy Harley-Davidson. George Chaconas with Performance Brokerage Services facilitated the transaction.
